Daily Fruit + Play

Yesterday I ate:

9:00 . . . juice of 6 organic valencia oranges
11:00 . . juice of 8 organic valencia oranges
1:00 . . . juice of 6 organic valencia oranges
3:00 . . . 1 lb. cherry tomatoes
4:00 . . . 2 cantaloupes
6:00 . . . more cherry tomatoes + 8 medjool dates

Play: walking/running ~ 5 miles, acrobatics, stretching

These cantaloupes were out of this world good! Very sweet and syrupy, as the picture shows. Wow. What a delicious day of eating. The tomatoes were also excellent. I would have eaten more if I had more. I had to share with my husband and there weren't many left for him. Oops. Must buy more. What is in there that is so crazy good?! I was immensely grateful all day for everything. ♥

Yesterday I was watching a documentary clip about the extraordinary LINES Ballet (look on youtube if you are interested) and the artistic director, Alonzo King, said a beautiful thing:

"Environment is HUGE. It is stronger than will power."

Yes!!! He was talking about the importance of dancers surrounding themselves with other talented creative dancers in order to thrive and be inspired to their highest potential. This is true for all of us, whoever we are and whatever we are doing.

Who and what you are around are SO IMPORTANT to your development and well-being. So choose carefully what you allow into your consciousness. It is having an effect on you, all of it.

Love. ♥

  1. Transformative note on all levels...

"So choose carefully what you allow into your consciousness."

Thank you, Jules! Your notes are wonderful!

  2. That is why I read your blog every day! Constant inspiration to be who I want to be! You are so great!

  3. Alyssa beat me to it! I have your blog on my bookmark bar...the bookmark I have lined up for easy reference. Anne's blog and Mango's blog are my other inspirations beside yours.
I'm working on mine soon. Let you know when I'm actually posting something worthwile.

Love to all of you beautiful people

  4. Wow. Thank you all so much! I love the way we can all support and encourage each other. It is such a comfort. I love Anne and Mango, too. They are some "high thinkers" as well as being sweet people. And so are you, Tinah, Alyssa, and Aranka. ♥

  5. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your posts Jules! And I love the way you describe yourself as 55 going on 17, lol. I'm turning 40 in April and never felt younger or happier in my life, and thanks to the lifestyle shift and wonderful inspirations such as yourself, I've also never been healthier. This blog is a huge blessing, thank you for tending to this garden of delights with such love and light.

  6. Salut Julie,

I am like you , as much as I enjoy fruits I will not mono diet. For me it does not work well , especially for several days. I will get tired of the taste of the same fruit:). I think that we have a lot if common(too bad that you are taken), I do also yoga but I am more an adept of Zen Meditation. Yesterday I got a Meditation Bench and wow it seems to increase the benefit of my meditation by 50% comparing when I was using the 2 yoga blocks(was sitting on them). I rarely use the lotus or half lotus position as I don't feel comfortable so I decided a few years ago to choose the Japanese Seiza position instead.
I like your blog because it goes right to the point , it does not try to endoctrine us and you don't try to prove yourself , you just point the facts and that is the beauty of the blog , your plain experience .

  7. Thank you, sweet Maddyg! You just made my day! I love you, too. And good for you for joining the Fruit Club. I really love your last sentence. . . touching. ♥

Thank you, Freddy! I appreciate your kind words and hearing about your experiences. I think the fruit diet helps one be in meditation naturally. I'm glad you are doing so well. :)
