Daily Fruit + Play

Yesterday I ate:

10:00 . . 12 valencia oranges
1:00 . . . 1 pineapple + a few cherry tomatoes
3:00 . . . 6 valencia oranges + a few dates
5:00 . . . 4 bananas
6:00 . . . 4 bananas + a few medjool dates
8:00 . . . 1 large fuji apple

Play: walking/running in the fresh air and sunshine ~ 4 miles, stretching to music, relaxing

The beauty and symmetry of fruit is endless and always amazing. Humans cannot create something so beautiful as what is found in Nature.

And for those of us living in places that have winter, the tropical fruits are literally a dose of sunshine.

They are predicting another winter storm this week, with more snow and sleet, freezing rain. When I hear this I think, "Oranges! Pineapples! Must stock up!" In the old days, I would have been thinking Other Things which I won't mention here as it is definitely food porn. Ha! It is a relief to know that my thinking has changed. I changed my behavior and my habits first, and then my thinking begrudgingly lagged along behind. Beware the addictive mind. It has been trained like a seal to think crazy and wrong things. Very strongly and powerfully so.

We all must be patient but consistent with the retraining of the mind. Spending more time in Nature and away from cars, TVs, computers, radios, cell phones, flourescent lights, and other man-made chaos and confusion will help tremendously. Since we are always trying to harmonize with our environment, it helps to choose a simple and natural environment as much as possible. Then our thoughts will be more simple and natural. ♥

  1. wow, great photo !

    hi Dear Julie :)
i agree with you to make life more and more simple.
Simplicity is not complication, but it is a complex thing, as the universe and all the possiblities express or not (even) are.
Finding simplicity is like listening silence in music, and music in the silence :)

    love in all.

  3. Hi, I just found your blog and so far I'm enjoying it! I'm a 20 year old female who has been vegetarian since birth, and have felt sick since birth. Since I was very young I suffered from post nasal drip, headaches and IBS like symptoms. For the past 10 years I have been trying everything to feel better. Right now I'm dealing with a full case of candida so I'm on a no fruit diet. I went 100% raw a year ago and for 6 months I stuck with it while eating plenty of raw fruit nut based desserts and fruit. This is when my candida symptoms really became apparent. I haven't felt this ill in a long time. I LOVE fruit, always have, but if I eat a banana right now I will become so extremely bloated with sharp stabbing pains filling my chest and abdomen. I also Love vegetables. Do you eat greens? If not, why do you think they aren't necessary?

I have read a lot of information on the fruitarian diet. Gosh, a lot of people are against it! They say sugar fuels cancer, etc., but then look at you, you seem so vibrant and healthy. I guess everyone is different, this diet is right for some and not for others. Well, I think I have said enough, if you prefer, you can e-mail me back a response at boshbunk@gmail.com. Thank you for your time, and your blog!

  4. Thank you, Sandrine! Your writing is so poetic and beautiful. ♥

Thank you, Holli! Lovin' your blog, cute girl! ♥

Dear Valen. . .Thank you for writing. I really feel for you, and I understand about feeling confused. There is so much complicated and conflicting info out there. I had lots of health problems and I had to figure it out for myself, too. You might find helpful the discussion group www.30bananasaday.com and also the website www.rawfoodexplained.com. And keep experimenting with yourself. You will find a way because you are so determined and aware. Fat is what makes candida a problem, not fruit.

I do not eat greens, but I do eat tomatoes and cucumbers, especially in the summer. I believe that humans are natural frugivores, not herbivores. Hope this helps. Thinking of you. ♥
